It’s that time of year when all the Discord servers say “Happy Pride” and give a long spiel about it. The Globasa Discord server was no exception. Despite reading their pride speech, I was inspired to create some pride flags mashed up with that of Globasa.
Globasa comes from the current generation of international auxiliary language projects called worldlangs. That means its vocabulary and grammmar are sourced from languages across the world. It doesn’t have the speaker base of Esperanto, but it responds to, and aims to correct, the problem of Esperanto’s perceived Eurocentric bias. It’s also my favorite worldlang.
Let’s take a look at the regular Globasa flag:

The Globasa flag presents some challenges to making pride flags, as many of them contain white, and the Globasa flag does not have a boundary between its white and blue areas. Others contain light colors that don’t blend well with white without a boundary. For this reason, I chose to add a black boundary around the pennant on all of the pride flags. Here are the pride flags I’ve made so far:

Lesboyen, geyyen, duajensifilyen, trasyen, kwiryen, intrejensiyen, nenseksoyen ji max ete (LGDTKIN+).
